Jack gets it. He really gets it.
We were reading from a Dr. Seuss book last night that has the story of The Sneetches. You know the one- some had stars on their bellies, some did not...
Well, Jack was "reflecting" on this story, and said, "Mom, the Sneetches are kind of like Martin Luther King, Jr." I suppose he sees that the unfair treatment of the non-star bellies is similar to the white skin, dark skin idea...
He really gets it....

Camping Out
A Bigger Bed...
So, Jack loves his stuffed animals. When I say love, I really mean it. He has quite an attachment to each one, and so, at bedtime, choosing one "soft friend" is hard. While getting Jack himself ready for bed is fairly quick, Jack getting his "guys" ready can take a long time. With the count anywhere from 10-20, each one gets tucked it...
When we bought Jack's new bed, I didn't know he'd need a bigger one this soon....This is what his bed looked like this morning.

Be Mine...
Jack announced in the car...
"Mom, when Molly gets older, I am going to buy her a necklace for Valentine's Day...Because I just love her...a lot."
Also...."When Molly gets bigger, she is still going to be my little sister. She'll be that forever."
