Not a Nice Thing...

Jack got to have a sleepover with Jacob at Poppa and Nana's over the weekend. We thought it was good timing, as he would have lots of projects to do (Valentine making, chocolate chip cookie baking) and he'd get lots of attention...
When we picked him up on Sunday, Ken asked him, "So, Jack. Did you have a good time without baby Molly?"
Big brother replied, "DAD! Don't say that. NOT having Molly is not a nice thing to say."
I am sure we will have to remind him of this next year, when she is in all his things...but for now, it made us smile.
My son also informed me, "Mom. Do you know who my favorite in our family is? It's baby Molly." I will remind him of this, too!

Proud

Molly and I picked up Jack at school today for the first time. The 4 year old classes were watching a video when I got there...As soon as Jack saw us, he came right over. Then, he ran back into the room, stood in the center of the carpet in front of the t.v. and annouced to the 20+ kids, "Everyone come quick. My new baby sister Molly is here and now you can all see her!". As his friends looked at her in awe, Jack just stood back and watched...so proud. And so was I.

A LIttle DASH of...

Jack has been introduced to a new phase, Disney's The Incredibles. It started with the movie, then the cereal...and I found him pajamas on ebay. At the hospital, my friend Nicole noticed his new "thing" and promised to mail him a surprise. On the same day the pjs came in the mail, so did Nicole's package. We immediately had to change clothes...

Later, Jack came upstairs to tell me..."Mom, I wanted to look in the mirror to see how I looked. I looked in the trash can mirror, and I look great....AND fabulous!"...

He then posed his best Incredibles poses for the camera...

Diapers? No problem...

Sleepless in Orange...

Tonight it's only 10:41pm, which is actually early for me to be up on the computer.
I have not been sleeping lately....
Our latest update is that baby sister Molly should be here soon. I am scheduled for induction Monday morning, January 7, 2008. The day our family becomes a family of 4.
Many people have actually suggested I start a family blog, mostly because of the stories I tell of Jack...

Here's the lastest conversation, of course, about his new sister.

"Mom, it's January, right?"
"Yes"
"So, when is baby Molly going to be here? What number will her birthday be?"
"Well, we just have to wait...but she should be here soon"
"But, Mom. How are you going to get her out? Your mouth is too small...."

Oh, to be 4.
