When the shoe (doesn't) fit...

I've been so obsessed with Molly's walking.
Today, I had her feet measured at the mall.
Guess what?
Her size 4.5-5 feet have been CRAMMED into a size 3.
Can you say guilt?
So, today, Molly got some new shoes!

...and they seem to help her with her new skill...

climbing the stairs at a record speed.

bangs

I finally did it.
I cut Molly's bangs while she was sleeping.
The aren't great,
but better than being in her eyes all the time.
I think she looks SO much older...
and a lot more like my baby pictures!

As Seen on TV

I know that Jack watches a lot of tv.
I also know that he has an amazing memory.
Combine the two, and you get this:
(he was really watching me get ready this morning,
and I had to stop him in the middle
of his infomercial to grab the camera).

this Post brought to you by...the Letter P

You know your family has been sick a lot over the past 6 months, when your child's teacher lets you know that an interesting word was added to the letter of the week brainstorm.
Jack's word that starts with the letter "p"?
Pedialtye.

better late than never

It's a long story, but we got our Christmas package from Ohio on Saturday. It was nice because Jack had watched Molly open
all her gifts, and I think was having some present envy.
Perfect timing.
Once everyone left and the clubhouse was cleaned,
we opened the presents from the Coopers.
Look at these pictures.
I could not have gotten better pictures.
He was SO excited, and could not believe that
he now had the Build Your Own Light Saber kit.

Thanks to the whole Cooper family-

Uncle Joe, Aunt Cherise, Meghan, Bryan, Erin, Justin, Jordan,

and last but not least, Brandon...

who had perfect timing when mailing the box.

party on...

The birthday has come and gone...
Molly has so many people that love her...
and that makes me the happiest mommy ever.
We celebrated with family, good friends,
lots of food...and cake and presents.
Here are a few highlights.
When I get them all downloaded to shutterfly,
I will add a link.
(Right now, I am still getting over the fact
that she's a year old!).
Blue's Clues
enjoying the appetizers!
(notice the full cheeks on all 3 girls!)

Oooooh...presents!
too many presents...
the cake...Molly was NOT interested in
the cake at all during the party.

and decided to get rid of it herself. BUT, at home...cake is a GOOD thing!

tomorrrow, I promise

Really, I want to post about Molly's party. Really.
But between my mom, my brother-in-law, and myself, I have over 200 pictures to choose from...
I feel like a loser because even
my friends have
blogged about it before I have...
Stay tuned.

just too tired

We had a fun and busy day...and everyone is too tired...I will post about our birthday bash when I have more energy...

one

One year ago today, we celebrated Molly's arrival. It was a long day...
I was induced at 8:00 am, and she was born just after 8:00 pm.
I was so nervous...
I didn't know how it would be having a second baby.
I didn't know how I would "juggle" everything.
I didn't know how it would affect Jack....

Today, we celebrated Molly's birthday at Disneyland, just the 4 of us.
And now I know.
Having a second baby is crazy, and overwhelming...and wonderful.
I am "juggling" everything pretty well, most days.
Jack is an amazing big brother.

Molly keeps us busy...but mostly keeps us smiling.
She's a silly little person....For her birthday, big brother Jack made her a kitten at Build-A-Bear
(he knows that she loves kittens!).
And, because she's one, she got her very own pony.I tried to get her portraits taken.
The drama queen side took over
and we left the studio
with not 1 picture taken.

I managed to get a few over the weekend...

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!

eyes

People stop and comment on Molly's blue eyes all the time.
Every so often, I take a picture that really shows how blue they are...

girlfriends

Molly and I are so thankful for our girlfriends... and we are thankful that Main Place is so close for our lunch dates!

love...

easy

Watch out Food Network...
We tried out Jack's new Easy Bake Oven today.
Yes, it was on his Christmas list...
We made chocolate chip cookies..
First, a pose with the oven
(how does it "bake" things with a lightbulb?)

Then, add 3/4 teaspoon water (yes, that's all!)and mix...carefully, put it in the oven...and be sure to watch the timer (8 minutes)...clean up while you wait (who needs a dishwasher?)and Ta-Dah! 6 cookies the size of a half dollar!next time...yellow cake with frosting!
