You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes,
even if it's just in your own eyes. ~Walter M. Schirra, Sr.
My favorite 4th grader turned 10 today.
I told a friend that his age is the closest it's ever been to his birth weight!
Ha ha ha!
I think Jack had a pretty good birthday...
He had cupcakes at school.
His teacher came to visit from Sacramento.
He got his top wish list Lego sets.

We had a fun dinner at Encounter.
The bummer was that Ken is heading to Ohio tonight to help his mom
as she recovers from surgery.
So, we had a nice dinner, and said goodbye for the week.
As inspired by the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie,
Jack created a "spin the bottle" type game for us to play.
We spun the Lego Star Wars ship.
We had to say a reason why we loved the person it pointed to.
We laughed and laughed at the silly (and sentimental reasons).
Of course, dessert.
Happy Birthday to our super, super 10 year old.
You make us proud everyday.
