our day

Jack and I dropped Molly off at daycare this morning, and then went to Disneyland.
It was the PERFECT day. Just us.

My favorite part of the day was when Jack was getting ready to do the Jedi Training Academy Show (yes, again). What he wanted to say was "when the show is over, I will meet you back here"...
But what he ACTUALLY said was "Mom, if I get picked, don't freak out. Whatever happens, in the end, I will always come back to you".

And he did. And we were happy.

Fingerprint Friday- Flashback

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?
If you want more inspiration, check Beki's Blog!
Look at this little face!!
When I had Molly, I took extra time off work.
When I came back to school, it was the week of Open House.
This picture was taken on that night.

Molly is growing so much, and has recently started
really talking.
She is constantly saying "Thank you Mama"
(or Daddy or Jack or whoever).
She says "bless you" if you sneeze.
She says "The End" at the end of her books.
She loves her animal books,
Blue's Clues,
Yo Gabba Gabba.
She loves to eat pizza and rice, and chicken.
And 2 nights ago, she had a huge tantrum because
the bacon was not ready to eat.

Oh, little girl.
Thanks for showing me the fingerprints!

Mom, why is this ALWAYS on?

Poor Jack.
He either has to listen to Yo Gabba Gabba, Blue's Clues, the Wonder Pets, or Dora when we drive with Molly in the car.
If she isn't in the car, he has to listen to the GLEE Soundtrack.
It's my new obsession.

I changed my playlist here.
So, you have to listen, too.
Or press pause. I won't be offended.

There is also 1 Christmas song on there as well.
Just because it's my favorite...and well, it is almost December.

tuesday tradition

These were taken a few weeks ago (we've since gotten a haircut!),
but Jack and I look forward to our weekly donut run.
Since Nana comes on Tuesdays, we have some "extra" time in the morning.
So, we go get donuts!

Sometimes we end up at the "factory" (Krispy Kreme)
and if the timing is right, Jack watches the
donuts go through the baking process.

It reminds me of the old footage from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
You know the ones where they show you how they make stuff.
Like crayons.
Remember?

(Oh, and Jack's favorite? Sprinkles.
Mine? Pumpkin Spice)

Yo!

Ken and Molly had tickets to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live today.
Waiting in line.
Molly is looking up at the sign for the show.
Ken and Molly
more waiting...
pre-show snack

not so sure about all this
The Yo Gabba Gabba Crew.
And Snoop Dogg.
Yes, Snoop Dogg was the special friend
doing the Dancy Dance.
What a fun show!
And what could top off the father & daughter date?
Lunch at Fat Burger.
Molly enjoyed her bacon cheeseburger!
Tired and happy after a fun day with Daddy!
(I also want to give my mom full credit for Molly's shirt.
She found it at the 99 cent store...and made Foofa herself!)
Here are more pictures, and some video (including Snoop Dogg!)...

Aside from the literal fingerprints Molly leaves after working with markers,
this part of the day is often peaceful.
My kids are learning everyday.
And when homework can be done 100% on his own, I am proud of the student Jack is becoming.
(although, last night, he did tell me that his homework was "hideous").

it's long...

But this little girl makes me smile!
(and my favorite part is when she puts her hand to her ear and tells me 'listen'...she thinks she hears Ken coming home!)

and yes, that is a Spongebob Easter basket around her neck.
A few minutes earlier, she was wearing it as a hat,
singing the Spongebob theme song...that's MY girl!
