So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints.
Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?
I have been writing love notes in Jack's lunch for 3.5 years.
Everyday he gets a note.
I did the math.
Its been almost 600 love notes.
Usually, its just a quick note, on scratch paper.
Sometimes, I remind him of upcoming happenings or
simply wish him a good afternoon.
Today's note matched his cookie and peanut butter sandwich.
And I had to tell him I was looking forward to our date tonight.
Jack is taking me to the The Mother & Son Dance,
where I will be the luckiest mom out there!

Sometimes, I wonder how much longer he will let me write them.
How long until he is embarrassed by his mom?
I imagine it will be sooner than I would like.
Either way, I love these notes.
I love that my almost 7 year old looks forward to them at lunch.

evidence of the eternal love is everywhere~ Lovely post.
I think this is such an awesome tradition you've started. Even when he gets old enough to be embarrassed about it outwardly to friends, I'll bet deep inside he will still love it.
Tangible evidence of mom's love - great idea!
You are amazing. I hope he likes them for a long time to come. Knowing Jack and his heart I bet he will. I still rember the notes my mm would write on my napkins for lunch. It made me feel so special and loved.
Sara that is the sweetest post. You made me re-do my eye make-up :) I did the "note tradition" with our Tammy too. I still stick notes in Phil's lunch (and he's 66!!) :) Never too old, in my opinion. Makes him feel loved and makes me feel good :) I look forward to the dance photos again this year. You are the best mommy!!
When I made Jacob's Valentine this year I wrote, "Don't ever forget - you'll NEVER EVER be to old to be our Valentine!". I'm so glad that Jack and Molly will still appreciate their mushy ones!
What a great tradition! I still remember some notes my mom wrote on lunch napkins. Very sweet!
Sara - I am so glad to have you in my life. It is so great to get ideas from a mom who has a child older than mine. You inspire me to do cute mommy things:)
