gingerbread

I love this holiday tradition.
For the past few years, we have been decorating
gingerbread houses at a friend's house.
It was even better this year, when I found
pre-assembled houses!
Hooray!
Look at all the goodies!
Jack is a pro now!
He wanted a Santa on top
(I did help a bit with this part!) But, he did the wreath on his own!
See? With a smile like this, how could
I not love gingerbread houses!?My favorite part of Jack's house was
this tiny little gingerbread peeking
out the window...
Yes, Molly got her own house, too.
I think she was amazed I was actually
letting her do it.
First, frosting.Then, M&Ms.
(and tasting a lot of them, too!)She did this whole side on her own.
And while she didn't make the "M",
she pointed to it all night,
and kept saying "my m"Check out the frosting on her nose!
Silly girl!

Thanks to Jim and Doris for letting us

take over your kitchen table!

Great pictures! I am glad they loved it...now I know there is hope for Salvatore changing his mind in the future!

I'm STILL floored that Doris didn't cover her table before letting all those kids decorate their houses!
Looks like Molly's going to be a pro, too. The boys do a great job. Dad and I are looking forward to having them here this weekend; I have a special treat in mind to make after the decorating's done.

How fun! No wonder he was such a pro at cookie decorating in class :). Where did you find the pre-assembled houses?
