Tummy Time

Miss Molly is just now beginning to actually enjoy time on her tummy...

A Fish Named Tiny

Well, he started out asking for a dog...then, a cat ("because cats don't yank on babies, mom")...and then, a fish...I decided we could handle that. So, after a traditional visit to the pet store after a nice dinner at Koki's, we came home with "Tiny". Jack spent lots of time picking him out...I tried to get him to choose a beautiful beta fish, with the long flowing blue tail and fins. But, no, he picked the smallest and least "flashy" fish at the store. We even found a space themed fish tank for Tiny. Jack is very responsible and takes good care of his new friend. Of course, he talks to him, too...on the way home I heard him say to Tiny, "We are going to your new home. I hope you like it there".
When he fed his new pet for the first time, the fish immediately swam up to eat the food...Jack was amazed..."I knew I picked a smart one, Mom!"...

play parade

The new parade at California Adventure is becoming a "must do" has all of Jack's favorite guys from the Pixar movies, including the Incredibles! Waiting for it to start could be boring but not for us..Jack provides the pre-parade entertainment. Molly just watches...

Favorite Time of the Day?

I never thought 3:45 am would be a contender for my favorite part of the day.
Apparently, this morning, it's Molly's favorite. All the books say not to
stimulate baby when they wake for night feedings, keep the lights low, etc.
Not in our house...we are party animals!
How can I resist THIS smile?
(It also helps that I am on Spring Break...and don't have to work today!)

Five is Hard....

Big Brother showed true bravery this week...First, helping with a diaper change,
and his 5 year old well check with Dr. Akey.

Jack probably would've opted to stay 4...had he known about the 5 year old well check.

3 shots in the arm, and now my BABY is ready for Kindergarten!

The Cooper Museum of Fine Art

Jack is becoming quite the artist these days. Here's a few highlights from our fridge gallery...
Rock 'em Sock'em Robots...
(note the detail in the "defense mode" arms..and the boxing ring nets!)
Need some help with interpreting this one?
from left to right..
Baby Armadillo (bottom left)
Blue Bird
and Orange Easter eggs from the Easter Bunny
(this wins the most random award!)

"The Robot 3000"

The brown dog with brown spots?
