Time to Fly....

So, tomorrow is my birthday.

And I don't really need anything.

BUT, here's something cool...

The Big Test

Jack was asked, like all the kids at my school, to dedicate his state test to someone important.

I think he's already passed the "test".

Penguin Encounter

We spent the day before Easter at Sea World.

With Grandma Cooper visiting from Ohio,

Ken treated us to a Penguin Encounter tour.

But, first, Turtle Reef:

Molly has been doing some still life painting in her class.

I was there the day that they were painting fruit...

and was amazed at how well she did.

They really talked about shapes and colors,

and I was super impressed at Molly's interpretation.

On her teacher's shutterfly site, I found these two.

They went to the garden to paint flowers.

She is concentrating so hard!

I can't wait to see the final product!

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter Sunday.
Started the morning at church, then went to Tee Room for brunch.
Ken and I got married there.
It was also where I begged my children to let me take their picture.

Then, we went to Nana's for egg decorating,
an egg hunt,
and a yummy dinner.

And now...thankfully, Spring Break.

whale watching

The Cooper boys went on a whale watching adventure
a few weeks ago in Long Beach.

They didn't see any whales,
but it was still a beautiful day.

Lots of dolphins swam along the side of the boat.

Dear Jack,
You turned 9 last week.
I was in Palm Springs for a conference.
BUT, you still had a great day.
Ice cream treats for your class.
Nana picked you up after school.
Chuck E. Cheese fundraiser night for school.
I was so sad to miss it, but sometimes that happens.
We celebrated on Friday at Koki's for dinner.
Went shopping for LEGOS on Saturday with your birthday money.
I just can't believe that you are nine years old.
You've made us proud every single day.
