trick or treat!!

We had a fun evening of trick or treating!
Jack was FULL of funny comments...
Molly just wanted to hang out at all the houses with puppies...
Good times!
First, I need to explain that Jack was a Pokemon trainer, and
Molly was Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Nana came through on the great Pokemon jacket!

Jack's green hair is leftover from Crazy Hair day at school...

The kids had just as much fun passing out candy when we got home.
Molly enjoyed taking inventory of all the treats.

I dressed up as a witch again) with my Kindergarten team!
Happy Halloween!

two

I know that it's rare for me to not have any words.

Two years ago, I was frantically hitting the 'refresh' button.
I will never forget that feeling.
We were meeting friends for dinner, and I just wanted to sit in my car.
And cry.

Two years ago, we said goodbye to a very special little girl.
I have thought about her everyday for two years.

Sigh.
How I wish I would've been taking pictures back then.

I miss you, Bella.
You would be amazed at how you are changing the world.

"They say that time in heaven is compared to 'the blink of an eye'
for us on this earth. Sometimes it helps me to think of my child
running ahead of me through a beautiful field of wildflowers and
butterflies; so happy and completely caught up in what she is
doing that when she looks behind her, I'll already be there."

Inspiration Through Art

I got an email yesterday that made me cry.
I had applied to be a photographer for Inspiration Through Art.
The email said my application had been accepted.
My heart immediately swelled.
This amazing organization helps families with critical ill or special needs children
find local photographers, who donate a session to capture
the joy of their little heroes.
I feel like I was made for this.

Little cabin in the Woods

(this adventure somehow got missed on the family blog!
Blame it on a busy summer followed by a crazy start of the school year!
Better late than never.)
Way back in July, we stayed at a cabin up in Lake Arrowhead. We being the four of us, my mom and dad, and my sister and her family.
We spent our days and nights just hanging out...
puzzles, movies, and trips to the lake.

my crazy kids "eating" the donut puzzle.

Jack and Molly also made new friends.
Jack preferred human friends.
Molly, of course, chose the canine type.

We hunted for pinecones...for Molly's daycare, my class, and Aunt Joyce's preschool.

These two pics of Molly and Papa bird watching make me smile.

We used to go to Arrowhead each summer as kids.
It was really special to take our own kids there.
I hope it's a new tradition!
Thanks, Nana and Papa!
